Tax Preparation & Assistance
AARP Tax-Aide is the nation’s largest free, volunteer run tax assistance and preparation service.
The Deptford Free Public Library will not be hosting the AARP Tax-Aide this year, however we will begin taking appointments by phone for the Deptford Senior Center starting on January 16, 2024. The Deptford Free Public Library has no control over how many appointments are available and cannot answer any tax questions.
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA)
VITA provides free tax help for taxpayers who qualify. They ask that you bring a copy of your prior year’s return.
Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE)
TCE provides free tax help for all taxpayers, particularly those who are over the age of 60, specializing in questions about pensions and retirement related issues unique to seniors.
Free File: Do Your Federal Taxes for Free

State Taxpayer Information Centers:
